You need to do your research before posting articles like this! This myth has been debunked over and over for years now. Your body will adapt to the amount of protein you eat per meal. Consistently eating larger amounts of protein per meal will mean your body will adapt to absorb that amount per meal. One way this is confirmed is by something like intermittent fasting, often these meals have extremely high amounts of calories (and protein!!) if 20g was all that the body absorbed and the rest stored as fat, then these type of diets wouldn’t work! Funny enough, they do! They are one of the best ways to lose fat and gain muscle! Do your research!!

So how much should you eat? A study published in 2011 in the Journal of Sports Sciences supports the generally agreed-upon rule that you should shoot for (but not exceed) one gram of protein per pound of body weight per day. If, you weigh 150 pounds, you should shoot for about 150 grams (or about 1/3 of a pound) of protein daily. Protein contains four calories per gram, so 150 grams of protein will give you about 600 calories, or a third of your daily allotment of 1,800 calories. If this were any other site other than one promoting beef, I’d be more inclined to believe the information provided on protein here. Not saying the information isn’t scientific fact, just that the fact that a pro-beef website has research data on the benefits of increasing protein intake poses a bit of a credibility problem. I have the same issue with pro-soy websites that provide data on the benefits of soy, complete with studies as “proof”. If guess the first question that comes to mind would be – do any or all of these speakers have ties to the beef industry?
